This Home Town Buffet is one of the BEST! It is newer then most. It is part of a Mall area. If you need to go to Walmart, Vons, Home Depot, here is a place to eat as well---HTB (Home Town Buffet). The VARIETY was very good!
The place is CLEAN. It is WELL STAFFED. The bathrooms are of AMPLE SIZE!
It appears that the word has not yet gotten out that it is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!
Lunch time is the optimum time to visit. This HTB is a bit of the 'beaten path' for most workers looking for a lunch spot. I can only imagine that weeknights or weekends are much, much busier, as there is also an AMC theatre next door. But, if you can make it for a 'WEEKDAY LUNCH', you'll find a quiet, calm, and not 'overly crowded' venue from which you can satisfy your need for 'mass quantities of food'!
BOTTOM LINE: Come for lunch! This HTB will have PLENTY of space for you! WHY? Location, Location, Location! (It's a recipe. But, it works!) -

This place it's ok. Same olll stuff as the other restaurants. Their price never changes . Not much of a variety of food here.

Totally a waste of money, time, and gas. I should of went to jack in the box or something. But anyways, the buffet seems nice and exiting and all that, but once you go inside it's not that nice! It's disgusting, their is literally nothing to eat, all what they put in front of you is like small toppings, the main food is so greasy, tasteless, it's like they just boil pasta and just throw it there without even put some flavor in it. Beside the food the plates are dirty and sticky, also the cups! Make sure to check everything up before eating! That's if you wanna come to this buffet. The only thing that I liked was the ice cream.

I'll post a review but I highly dought anyone from Home Town Buffet will read it since they don't seem to respond to other reviews.
We went for dinner on a Saturday night at 7:30 pm, we expected to have to wait in a big line like we did a few years ago, but no line and hardley anyone in the place. Now I see why.
The food wasn't fresh and when we went to get a plate they looked very dirty, so we checked out a few more plates and the same thing, they looked really dirty I think they might have been stained or something.
If someone from this establishment reads this and cares about cleanliness, GET RID OF THE DIGUSTING PLATES!!!!!
I'm sure the health inspectors wouldn't like it so much. -

Iam not one too crazy for hometown buffet but i suck it up for my kids cuz i love them! Haha
This specific hometown buffet is the one tho! I have been to the the in national city off of highland many times and the one on palomar just has no love in their food. Feels like this hometown buffet actually pays attention to their customers and demands on fresh food!! Everything is hot and actually has food flavor. I know most of the food is sort of bland but hey it's a buffet place !! I know the elderly love some hometown buffet and kids too!!
